joyfully making disciples

Connect with Others

Like pieces of a puzzle perfectly fitted together, God connects you to His church. The Christ-like caring of small groups plays an important role in your growth as a disciple.

Adults

Sunday School

Sunday School at University Baptist Church serves many roles through its age graded small groups. We see it in its most basic of roles as the Bible teaching ministry of the church with a goal of equipping others for ministry and leadership. We also see its role as a vital place for the church to express its core values in ministry. Finally, we see it as a tremendous outreach and evangelistic arm of the church. There is class for every age group, from babies to senior adults.

Choir, Praise Team & Band

Sing along with other friends, play your instrument and prepare for opportunities to serve with one of our musical worship leading team; childcare is provided during the 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night Adult Choir rehearsals. Let Michael Peeler know you want to participate in one of our musical groups.

Women's Bible Studies

Dig into God’s Word with the various women's Bible studies. Video and workbook resources usually compliment the small group guided discussions.  For times and names of upcoming Bible studies, please contact Cheryl Craddock or check out the Women's Ministry page.

Children’s Choirs

Large and small group experiences enhance the learning process as children develop worship leadership skills and a love for music. The Music Makers Choir, for 1st & 2nd graders, and the Young Musicians Choir, for 3rd, 4th & 5th grades, lead in church worship services and special presentations throughout the year. Contact Marti Peeler if you would like further information on these choirs which meet each Sunday at 6 p.m. throughout the school year.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Vacation Bible School offers kids a chance to experience God’s Word in a creative and fun way. VBS at University Baptist Church is open to children that are four years old through 5th grade. By using a rotation schedule we allow the children to experience and learn about God through Worship, Bible Study, Crafts, Snacks, Music and Recreation. We have a great team of adults and youth that lead and assist in all areas. For more information, check out our VBS page.

Upward Flag Football

This sports ministry at UBC affords your first- through sixth-grade son or daughter the opportunity to not only learn and play flag football, but to connect with other children in an environment that promotes salvation, character, and self-esteem. The first practice begins the end of August and games begin in early September. Contact Jason Martens on ways your child can participate this fall.  For the UBC league schedule and additional information, click here.
