joyfully making disciples

Serve the World

You were created in Christ Jesus for good works.  These works represent His hands outstretched to the church and the community. Express your love for God by applying your hands to one of these opportunities.

Campus-Based Service

Worship

Help others discover God by participating in our Sunday morning worship services. You could be a part of the following:

  • Adult Choir & Band: share your musical talents as a lead worshiper
  • Audio/Visual Team: assist in sound and computer operation for the services
  • Children’s Worship: assist in a separate service provided for first through third graders
  • Drama: share your acting skills with others through various skits and presentations
  • ETC: provide Extending Teaching Care (ETC) to our bed babies and preschoolers
  • Greeters: welcome people as they arrive in our parking lots and throughout our campus
  • Interpretacíon: translate our service into Spanish
  • Ushers: distribute informational material and collect the offering
  • Worshiper: engage in the service by wholeheartedly worshiping God

Contact Michael Peeler for more information on ways you can serve in these areas.

Sunday School

Help others connect through age appropriate small groups that meet each Sunday morning at 9:15.  These intimate settings allow you to serve in any of the following areas centered around Reaching, Teaching and Supporting.

  • Reaching: contacting people when they are absent; organizing fellowships
  • Teaching: preparing & leading weekly Bible discussions; substituting for the teacher
  • Supporting: maintaining attendance records; coordinating prayer concerns

Talk to your Sunday School Director or Teacher for more information on ways you can serve.

FAITH

Become part of a 3-person team that goes out each Thursday evening to visit those from our Sunday School classes.  You may serve in any of the following areas of FAITH:

  • Leader: lead two other folks on your team in making visits
  • Learner: learn how to share Christ with others
  • Encourager: assist the Leaders with visit assignments
  • Intercessor: pray for those going out each week on visits
  • Servant: provide a snack dinner for participants one night during the FAITH semester

Contact a Sunday School Director, Teacher or email us if you would like to serve in FAITH.

G•R•O•W

Got a short amount of time to serve?  Then this is the place for you. Join us one Thursday each month and help contact other Sunday School members.  You can write notes, make phone calls, pray or assist in other ways.  Contact Clarence Caywood for specifics about this  ministry. Come serve alongside us.  God Rewards Our Work!

Operation Multiplication

Operation Multiplication (opX) is our one-on-one discipleship process. Partner with someone and discover more about the daily spiritual disciplines. Work through the provided materials at your own pace. To serve in opX, contact Tim Smith.

Prayer Partners

Intercede for others and pray for our worship services.  These faithful prayer warriors meet collectively each Sunday morning.  They also pray individually throughout the week.  Contact Jesse Constante to serve on this vital team.

Committees

UBC has a variety of committees which meet regularly and provide support for our programs. Find a place of service where you can best use your talents and abilities. Gain an overview of church committees and view the Committee Policies. Find out how to serve on one of these committees by contacting our Church Office.
